I just cant shake my holiday out of me! Its curled into my bones like a sleeping kitten, way to cute to disturb! Ah January… Monday and January shouldn’t ever date. Could you just imagine how blue their Children would be? They both have positive aspects I guess, like new beginnings. On Monday I’ll start my diet… On the the first of Jan I’ll never even sniff a jamessons ever again! And lets face it how long do those commitments ever really last anyway?  Five minutes tops…

Well now I make a promise on this blustering Thursday, that Thursday is now my new Monday and work is just about to start at , um, ten to twelve, and thats NOON everybody!

Better get sewing!

RECIPE

1tsp cinnamon

125g salted butter

1cup of brown sugar

1tsp of vanilla essence

1 cup of self raising flour

1 egg

1/2 tsp baking soda

200g lindt chilli chocolate

METHOD: Melt butter on the stove. Pour into a mixing bowl and add sugar, egg and vanilla essence. Stir in the dry ingredients . Break the chocolate into                         big chunks and add to the mix.

Grease baking tray and  roll small balls of dough on the tray. These cookies expand so make sure there is enough space between each one!

Pop tray in the oven for 10 minutes or so. Once out the oven place on wire rack to cool. Serve with tea or milk!

There’s something to a great second-hand  find. It’s the only one for miles,or even years! It was once loved, forgotten or even regretted but there it is , beaming in it’s vintage boldness just purring to be purchased… oh, and how I just love the once loved.

Beautiful silk scarves, old dwarfish shoes( I mean really, was everyone a size four back then?)  cigarette and biscuit tins, old watches and fifties tea sets, floaty dresses  and blouses and the gems that actually are your size. I suppose it’s that reason exactly why vintage investments ( because isn’t that what dress shopping is all about anyway?) are just that much more special than the new stuff.

Ah I love love love these purses!!!

They just don’t make em like they used to!

Oh sunny day!

It is the most golden day today! The sun is bouncing through the city and boy does it feel like summer here! Its amazing how your heart skips when you feel the sun on your face. Well mine does in any case. I’m definately not a winter person. I wear my sandals to the very last minute, till all feeling has left my toes and only then will I put closed shoes on! Ah summer! Its amazing what a sunny day in autumn can do for ya! There’ s something to a skipped heart beat though! When you’re an hour into your drive and you realise you left the oven on! When you find something you’ve been looking for! ( usually shoes!) When you see something so ordinary but so kind. The gentle respect of the young for the old. When you stumble on treasures you didn’t think you would ever find!

I love these old patterns and scraps of fabrics I just found!

ENJOY!!!

Its raining yet again today and to be honest I love it! I suppose one always feels that way in the beginning of a season! Maybe by July when I tire of coats and run out of socks the rain will  have become  like a gift from your aunt, largely boring and too difficult to dispose of!

But for now I love the rain!

Its means hot chocolate and movies! Baking and eating! Sewing and crafting! Reading and drawing! Today Im going to try my hand at baking BA-Banana B-A-N-A-N-A-S bread! Whooooohooo do I love that! And probably way more than the rain!
